The Time Tunnel is another interactive project (like Double-Taker Snout) in which the audience can create/or be a part of the art itself. There is a projection screen and the viewer stands in front of it and controls the projection by a set of buttons on the floor in front of them. This setup combines art, science and new technologies by showing the viewer in the present and moments prior to it and as they move in front of the screen. In essence, the viewer will now be able to view and see into the past and the present simultaneously and time travel between the two.
The creators of the Time Tunnel were inspired the theory of relativity (Albert Einstein) and the concept of the speed of time slowing down when the physical speed is faster than it. They are showing the viewer physically moving fast enough that the speed of time has slowed down to show both the past and present at the same time.
